About Marina Gutierrez

Marina (short for María Inés) was born and raised in Argentina where she earned her degree in Public Relations before setting off to Canada. It was there that she found her way into the real estate world, taking on roles from administration to running her own successful home staging company, First Impressions.

After many cold Canadian winters, Marina felt the pull of warmer weather and a culture closer to her roots. Having tried a few options, that journey eventually brought her and Michael to Punta del Este, Uruguay, a place that instantly felt like home.

Returning to her passion for real estate, Marina worked first with Mieres in Punta Ballena for four years and then with Faro in the Peninsula of Punta del Este for another two. With that experience, she and Michael joined forces to create Focus Properties. Today, Marina works closely with our Latino clientele, combining her professional expertise with her warm, approachable style, while Michael focuses on serving our expat community. For Marina, real estate isn’t just about property, it’s about helping people find their place in a new chapter of life, just as she once did.
